I ordered a cake for a baptism from Betel, had to cancel twice!! right before the event because of covid they were so accommodating. They held off for weeks until I could finally call back and reschedule. I called back and asked for the cake to be done within a couple of days and they did a great job! It was beautiful exactly what I wanted and it tasted amazing. Definitely recommend them!!
I'm very surprised by the negative reviews here. Betel is one of the few bakeries that truly make authentic Dominican cake flavors. My cakes have never been dry. Always been beautiful and moist. The staff is always friendly to me. Because their location is so small, you may have to wait longer than you may like to when picking up your cake. They made my wedding cake and everyone was crazy about it. These cakes are def affordable comparing the "Instagram" famous cakes which are beautiful but over priced. I will continue to support this business as it has never disappointed me. Every time I go visit my Mom in uptown, I pick up slices of every flavor to bring to my hubby and my in laws who love these cakes.
